Meet Your Author podcast is a labour of love. The podcast is a platform that celebrates and spotlights African authors on the continent through collaborative discussions, author interviews and bookish conversations.
Last year, I got into a slump and didn’t record as many episodes as planned. I held conversations with Ruby Yayra (Ghana), Aiwanose Odafen (Nigeria), Wanjiru Koinange (Kenya), Angela Makholwa (South Africa), Elizabeth Wanjiku (Kenya) and Margaret Chideme (Zimbabwe). Each conversation centred around their novels/works, writing practice and current reads or music they are listening to.
I am already curating the 2024 conversations. This year, I am intentional about reading Ugandan literature and very curious to create podcast conversations with the authors.
