I existed in a sea of doubt in May! I sought the company of music and books. I had a tooth extraction that revealed that I have crazy teeth! These are teeth that stubbornly elude all extraction instruments for hours, sacrificing time at their altar. smh! I am excited about June and I am hoping for a great month.
Let`s dive into my May update:
Making: time to walk, rest, read, listen to music and Netflix. I recommend The Diplomat (The British Foreign Secretary is oozing sexy black man. I LOVE IT!!) and Queen Charlotte to all. The dialogue in Episode one of Queen Charlotte is why Shonda Rhymes is still in business!
Eating: mushroom soup. A cafe close to work place serves the most delicious mushroom soup. I eat it with salty bread from Carrefour. Heavenly pleasure!
Drinking: tea and water and minding my business.
Reading: The House of Rust by Khadija Abdalla Bajaber and Dust Child by Nguyễn Phan Quế Mai. Read both books on Scribd.
Listening: to music by Isaiah Katumwa-jazz has the capacity to drown out all the noise; Pompi`s Pole Pole and Wonderful Your Name by Worship Harvest.
Wanting: money, travel and more time. This will forever be consistent.
Wasting: time. I have given myself permission to waste time. Ever have those I don`t care moments? I had numerous this month blanketed in a sea of doubt.
Wishing: for ease and abundance.
Wondering: about adulting and the endless decision making process. I had to visit a dentistry after a tooth wreaked havoc in my mouth and body.
Hoping: for a life full of abundance, love, good health and positive vibes.
Marvelling: at how much work goes into achieving dreams.
Smelling: a new perfume! Oud scents have found their way to my heart. I want more.
Wearing: my hair in dreadlocks. I visited a government office to process some documents and the lady at the till complimented me : Has anyone ever told you that you look like LAURYN HILL? If I every doubted that I am gorgeous, I apologise to ME. The dreadlocks are not going anywhere anymore. We must keep Ms.Hill`s legacy intact!! LOL
Following: Lolwe and Isele Magazine. These are my sources of literary goodness right now.
Noticing: that transitions require patience with others and most importantly with yourself.
Knowing: that sunrises and sunsets have secrets they reveal each day.
Bookmarking: excerpts from the books I`m reading.
Feeling: grateful for the work I am doing in this season.
Song dedication: Weapon by Todd Dulaney.
May divine speed be your portion in June.
Happy new month!!
Cheers to new beginnings.
❤❤
Shonda Rhymes has a choke hold on all of us. I haven’t watched the show but even I know the lines.
You must watch it. You will love the humour.
Taking tea and minding your own business…
I don’t how I can adapt to this😳😳
Always in communities seeking the best for yourself and sorry about the tooth extraction😊 that thing can be painful..
Take it one day at a time and you will see it work. Teeth extractions are the worst.😭😭
I agree with the dreads in my head you are always gracefully wearing them.
Sorry about teeth how i relate..sigh.
Here is to a new month may it be a blessing.
Now that the hype has died down I think I am ready to watch Queen Charlotte. Hope your wound is healing so well tooth extraction are painful.
