November will forever be my absolute favourite month of the year. I feel renewed each time a new chapter of my life begins. This November, I embraced rest. I took leave from work, social media, speaking engagements, writing and reading! All things that basically ground me. I needed to pause, reflect and centre myself again after months of hard work! I bounced back with a glow and inner happiness. I am excited about the future which will allow me to celebrate my birthday on 9th November instead of 29th November! 😉😉(Story for another day!). I have personal projects whose growth I`m excited about. I am hopeful again.
Let`s dive into my November update:
Making: time to sleep and have quality conversations with close friends.
Eating: Cake Culture muesli, bananas and yoghurt; Chocolate fudge cake and home-made ice cream. (Does this scream sweet tooth alert!) Please note that my waistline has gained some kgs.
Drinking: tea and hot water. The calories have to be burned, right? Hehe.
Reading: Woman at Point Zero by Nawal El Saadawi (book club read) And Crossfire Series: Bared to You, Reflected in You and Entwined With You by Sylvia Day.
Wanting: money and travel.
Wasting: no time on things that don`t bring me joy.
Wishing: for the Lord to crown my December with His goodness as the Psalmist says.
Wondering: about my 2023. I pray it’s easy on me because 2022 has been a challenging year.
Hoping: for a joy-filled December.
Marvelling: at the importance of rest.
Smelling: sweet fragrances from the body butter my sister-friend is mixing. It’s the creamiest and most soothing butter I have used. (I will share full details when it’s launched.)
Wearing: my hair in dreadlocks. I have gained length for days. You will soon call me Raypunzel. Get it?😂😂 (Blame this on the holiday cheer.)
Following: writers. The best thing I have done in a long time.
Noticing: how God is weaving a beautiful story with me as the protagonist.
Knowing: all things will fall into place and make sense.
Bookmarking: excerpts from the books I`m reading.
Feeling: grateful.
Song dedication: God Can by Victoria Orenze. This song continues to be my anthem.
May December be crowned with the Lord`s goodness.
Happy New Month!
