Taking Stock 20

Taking Stock 20

We are officially two months away to the end of 2020 (Let that sink in)!

September has been a confusing month for me in so many ways. I struggled to see the good in anything. I sure do hope you had a better month than I did. I`m happy it has come to an end and I look forward to a better October, one where my emotions are stable and I experience overwhelming joy.

Here is a snippet of my September in a few words;

Making: time to pray because this month has been hard on me – emotionally. I needed strength each day and I found that in the place of prayer.

Eating: groundnut paste (Odi) with almost everything – matooke, rice, cabbage, yams, irish potatoes and sweet potatoes.

Drinking: water. I honestly enjoy drinking water and I don`t need Dr Kasenene to remind me of its importance.

Reading: Easy Motion Tourist by Leye Adenle, When Trouble Sleeps by Leye Adenle, My Sister, the Serial Killer by Onyinkan Braithwaite, Shanghai Baby by Wei Hui and the book of Proverbs in the Bible.

Wanting: to have multiple breakthroughs.

Wasting: no time for reading. Reading gives me comfort and so I indulged a bit too much this month.

Wishing: for breakthroughs.

Wondering: about my life and 2020 goals. This reflective mood is courtesy of my upcoming birthday.

Hoping: for an October filled with money creating moments, love, good writing, good food and God encounters.

Marvelling: at how much there`s to read. My To-Be-Read list has so many books already and counting.

Smelling: nothing in particular.

Wearing: boots, thanks to the rain showing up whenever it pleases.

Following: Wei Hui and Onyinkan Braithwaite. Do you ever look up the authors of the books you are reading? I do all the time because this gives me perspective into why they write the way they write.

Noticing: how I have peace that surpasses all understanding when my focus stays on God.

Knowing: that Romans 8:28 is true. “So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfil his designed purpose.” (The Passion Translation)

Bookmarking: quotes from the books I am reading.

Feeling: grateful. I`m choosing gratitude over anything more than ever.

Song dedication : You keep on getting better by Maverick City Music. This song got me through September.

In October may you experience manifestation of all that you`ve prayed for.

Happy New month

Love on Love

Kizza
